Sheriff Sale should not be confused with Tax Sales. Tax Sales are held twice a year by the Treasurer’s Office for non-payment of real estate taxes. Questions on Tax Sales should be directed to the Auditor’s Office at 317-477-1105.

Sheriff Sales are the result of a court-ordered lending institution foreclosure for the non-payment of monthly mortgages. Sheriff Sales are held at 10:00 a.m. the day of the sale at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, 398 Malcolm Grass Way, Greenfield, Indiana.
